Affiliated Research Associates:
Dr. Helena Mitasova recently joined MEAS as an adjunct associate professor. Helena is a Research Scientist in the Geographic Modeling Systems Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and recently received a National Research Council Senior Research Fellowship to pursue spatial modeling and visualization of coastal processes, including dune migration and nearshore processes.
Rob Austin -- Spatially distributed landscape evolution models. Rob completed his MS in Geology in 2001, and presently collaborates with Prof. Rich McLauglin in the NC State Department of Soil Sciences, Helena Mitasova and me on sediment production studies at NC State's Centennial Campus. Rob also administrates the NCSU Spatial Information Research Laboratory
