iTRO Backscatter

Notes:

Time-reversal on backscattered signals yields different results than the time-reversal mirror. First we have to deal with how the field is scattered. Any passive object will reflect the signal, meaning first contact is first back out. I take that into consideration by putting the scattering operation on the forward Green's function. What is interesting is the third return is the stable waveform. After that, each iteration cleans up the returns thanks to the time-reversal operator acting as a non-linear filter that localizes in time and space.
